ABOUT COACH SAM:  Coach Sam Chadwell has been involved in the tennis industry for over twenty five  years as a player, coach, and community organizer. Sam is currently employed as a tennis professional at Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio, Head Tennis Coach for Calvary Baptist Academy New Braunfels and is also working in partnership with the City of San Marcos and USTA-Texas to provide player development programs and activities for San Marcos and surrounding hill country area communities.  Sam is available for group and private tennis lessons by appointment. Private Tennis Lessons:  Pay as you go:  $60/ hour

Calvary Baptist Academy New Braunfels

The Calvary Baptist Academy Firebirds recently completed a very successful spring season winning 8 medals at the TCAL State Tennis Tournament at John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch.   When in season the Firebirds tennis team holds practice on Mondays from 6 to 7:30 PM at New Braunfels High School.  We are currently hosting an off season training program.  Contact Coach Sam to schedule a try out..

Home schoolers are welcome to join our team.  No experience is necessary.  We will teach you how to play.

USTA Junior Team Tennis for
San Antonio and the Hill Country Area

Off Season Summer League at Blossom Tennis Center:
Session One:  June 3, 10, 21
Session Two:  July 1, 8, 29
Age Groups:  14U and 18U.  League meets Saturdays from 2:30 to 4:30 PM.  Cost: $40 / session.

Special Event:  Hill Country Cup Tournament:  July 22 in San Marcos.  $25   Deadline: July 10

Coming this Summer:    Hill Country Cup JTT

Hill Country Cup is a league designed to get junior high and high school players on the court in the summer through organized match play in a fun team tennis setting.   

Participants form teams of 6 to 12 players and compete in a series of dual matches on Sunday afternoons 2:30 to 4:30 PM and wrap up the season with a weekend team tennis tournament against other teams from San Antonio, Boerne, and the greater Houston area.

Important Dates and Information for the Hill Country Cup Junior League

• Sunday Hill Country League:  June 11, 25, and July 9 from 2:30-4:30 PM 
• Saturday Tournament: July 22, Times TBA (San Marcos)
• Cost:  $40, Includes match days and tournament.  Pay with Paypal, cash or check
• Register with an email to coachsam@chadwelltennis.com.  
• Last day to get on a team: Thursday, June 1 .
